A Gathering in the Parlors of the Tyrolean Folk Art Museum with students from Bildnerische Innsbruck (University Mozarteum) creating a Cercle inspired by the theme of storytelling and texts by Ursula K. Le Guin.
In this performative intervention, the traditional Tyrolean Stube—a place of warmth, gathering, and storytelling—is reimagined as a space for expanded belonging. By breaking with convention, new voices are invited in: a young man with Indigenous Colombian roots and a second-generation Austrian born in El Salvador come together to share what has brought them to this moment, to this room, to this land.
Through spoken word and presence, the performance weaves together memory, migration, and identity—reminding us that tradition can hold space for transformation.
